UK Public Wants Energy System Change

The British public would like to see marked changes to the way energy is supplied, used and governed.

This is according to a new report from the Understanding Risk research group at Cardiff University which was launched this month at the Royal Society of London.The report revealed overwhelming support for a move away from fossil fuel reliance.

Professor Nick Pidgeon, a Chartered Psychologist, was Project Director for the research, ‘Transforming the UK Energy System: Public Values, Attitudes and Acceptability’ that showed the general public favours an increase in renewable energy production and an overall reduction in energy use. Read the full story here…
